Elden Ring Ainsel River Main
Game: Elden Ring
Content Type: Gaming Guides
This section of the underground Ainsel River leads to the city of Nokstella, and is guarded by claymen and ants. Yous'll also run across a strange, just likely familiar foe with a propensity for stone flinging. You won't be able to reach this area until y'all've done
Ranni's dingy work in Nokron, but the treasure in Nokstella is well worth the effort for anyone who likes using spirit summons, and the Eternal Metropolis is another key step in
Ranni's questline.
Unique Rewards:
If you oasis't yet done Ainsel River (Southward), it'south recommended that you do so now — you'll get a map for the whole area, but more importantly, y'all'll get a take a chance to kill an enemy that can get in difficult to grab some items when you're in Ainsel River (Chief).
Later going through the waygate in Renna's Rise, you lot'll find yourself transported to Ainsel River (Chief). Directly ahead of you is a coffin with the
Miniature Ranni Doll inside. Grab it and then follow the river south for only a piddling means to find a site of grace on your left. Residue in that location and use the "Talk to miniature Ranni" pick at the lesser of the menu. Exercise this iii times — on the tertiary try Ranni will finally speak with y'all. She'll job you with defeating the Baleful Shadow, then you can become upwards and continue post-obit the river due south (those of you who similar taking screenshots may want to caput north to the waterfalls beginning).
Once yous pass nether some rocks that hang over the river, use target-lock to discover a clayman on your left, and then once more on your right. Just a lilliputian further south, y'all'll enter the Uhl Palace Ruins, where one of those weird infinite ants will commencement flinging rocks at y'all (these guys seriously demand a new flim-flam).
Sprint south to arrive encompass behind the ruined wall. In the water to the south-southeast of your cover is a corpse with a
Gilt Rune [7], which yous can safely grab without being attacked. From the rune, become southwest to the next bit of embrace — summon your favorite spirit while behind embrace. From here, you can actually charge right at the floating freaky rock flinger if y'all're a melee character (ranged characters can just snipe it with spells and then duck back into encompass). When you run at information technology, information technology will start to cast its spell, merely just run past it and then in a circle around information technology — most of the rocks should miss, and y'all tin can commencement smacking your floating foe.
Yous'll need to utilize jumping attacks to make certain every attack lands. It does take a bite attack, but if yous're continuing directly nether it and moving forward it should miss. It will drop a
Somber Smithing Stone [seven] when it dies. At this point, a couple of claymen volition probably have gotten pretty close to yous (if they oasis't started attacking you or your summons already). Take them out and then expect southwest — the path through the torch-lit columns is the way frontward, but nosotros've got a few things to collect kickoff.
Instead, go southeast and you should soon hit the rock wall with some claymen near it. If you turn right in one case close to the wall, you'll see a couple of Ghost Gloveworts. Catch them and then head northeast — against the ruined wall at that place is a corpse with a
Gilded Rune [vii].
Keep east to the end of the wall and turn left to head north — on your left virtually the end of the wall is another corpse with a
Smithing Stone [4], then further due north are a few more than Ghost Gloveworts.
Now go northeast from the glovewort, and you should come across some night palace ruins with a clayman in the corner — the corpse in forepart of him has x3
Human being Bone Shard. Head dorsum out into the river and follow information technology south, where some flowers guard a
Stonesword Key. Run in and take hold of it before standing southward to where the river terminates in a waterfall. Hidden behind the tree on the far correct end of the waterfall are the
Clayman Ashes, guarded by 2 claymen.Grab the ashes and return to the where you slayed the large rock-flinger by going westward-northwest.
Head southwest through the torch-lit pillars. Yous'll find a few more foes here, and in the far correct corner of the palace ruins is a
Ghost Glovewort [7]. Continue following the river southwest as it enters a narrow tunnel — presently you'll find a corpse on the left with some
Stimulating Boluses, and two ants on the ceiling nearby. You can fight them one at a time if you don't blitz in — deal with them and keep post-obit the river.
You'll enter an ant feeding ground, with 2 ants eating on corpse piles on the left side of the room. Try to pull them 1 at a time with projectiles, because further to the southwest behind them is a shield ant — this guy can't be damaged from the front end, so circumvolve around past its head to damage it.
Once all three ants are part of the corpse pile, loot the two humanoid corpses to find an impressive x8
Gilded Rune [10], as well as x2
Shield Grease. Then go south into the pigsty the shield ant was guarding and follow the tunnel until y'all reach a cliff that overlooks part of Ainsel River (Southward). Sneak up on and kill the guy looking out over the river, then turn right and kill his buddy too.
Next you'll accept to driblet downward onto the rocks to the northwest, continue up the narrow path, and drop over again to the path below (to the west)
Follow this path around the rocks until you pass a pillar on your left. At this point, you can drop down to the left (southwest) onto the rock wall, and make your way to the chest to find the
Fly of Astel.
Now go back onto the path you dropped from, and jump up the rocks heading northeast. And so go east-northeast to the
Somber Smithing Stone [6], and y'all tin can jump down to the east and make your way dorsum to the corpse pile room.
Take a left to follow the river northwest, where you'll find an aqueduct-like structure. Grab the
Ghost Glovewort [6] in the water, then head up the stairs through the alpine doorway to notice Nokstella, Eternal City — drop downwards the ii platforms and grab the city's site of grace.
